The bee ring is a traditional piece of jewelry, which was made by hand by Andrea Delogu according to old manufacturing techniques based on her own inspiration.
Story
The geometry of the beehive cells is the basis of this unique jewel. The flight of bees inspires the characteristic floral shape, while the colors of the ring, with their contrast of black and yellow, recall the typical coloring of bees. All the elements are typical of the ancient manufacture and are reorganized and reused.
Innovative features linked to tradition in two ways: the two elements (gold nests and silver spheres) used without mixing the two metals, since it is impossible with traditional techniques to weld the elements together without damaging or contaminating them. Here the innovation consists in mixing the use of the two metals, which thanks to the use of copper salt welding leaves the object clean and free of traces of welding between the two metals.
